COMEDY club The Grinning Idiot has announced its February line-up - including a new partnership with The Journal Tyne Theatre in Newcastle.The same night will see Mick Ferry switch venues to tread the boards at Newcastle's Corner House alongside Nathan Caton.Stade will be treading the boards at The Playhouse Whitley Bay on the Friday alongside Viz co-founder Simon Donald and Norman Lovett (Red Dwarf).Alun Cochrane was recently seen on Dave's One Night Stand, when Geordie comic Sarah Millican hosted a televised performance at the Tyne Theatre.The busy month kicks off with a weekend of fun on February 4 when Alun Cochrane and Mick Ferry take to the stage at the Washington Arts Centre.Also that Saturday, Sunderland audiences will be delighted to hear that Mick Ferry and Nathan Caton will be making an appearance at The Barnes Park Toby Carvery.FUNNY MEN Clockwise from far left, Mick Ferry, Alfie Joey, Simon Donald, Tom Stade, Chris Ramsey and Norman LovettHe has also enjoyed appearances on Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Mock The Week.The laughter continues on February 19 and 19 when Canadian comic, Tom Stade, brings his own brand of humour to the region.To book tickets, visit www.thegrinning idiot.com.Stade will continue his campaign the night after when he heads to Stanley's Lamplight Arts Centre, with Gavin Webster.
